Studio Information

Classical Ballet Academy offers three distinct programs to develop, train, and inspire children and young adults in the art of classical ballet.

Classical Ballet Academy's Childrens' Program begins teaching children to understand and enjoy movement. We help our students set realistic goals so that they may excel to the best of their abilities. We believe the confidence, pride of accomplishment, and joy our students experience in the dance studio will shine a postitive, influential light into their daily lives. This program is a recreational dance program, with the mission to develop skills and knowledge that will put the young dancers in a position to move forward into Classical Ballet Academy's Intensive Division. Performance opportunities are offered but in a format that matches their skill levels and is a moderate experience on stage. (Rhythm and Movement, Creative Ballet, Ballet 1, Ballet 2, Ballet 3)

Performance opportunity for Childrens' Program will be offered May 29th 2010 at the Classical Ballet Academy Studio. This is a free performance and each class will be showcased individually in a studio environment presenting class work and choreography. Please see Performance and Ticket information on our web site for more detail on class schedule.

Classical Ballet Academy's Intensive Division curriculum exposes aspiring pre-professional dancers to a variety of styles and perspectives by master instructors, while providing consistency of teaching based on placement and development of strength, technique, and artistry.  Classes in choreography, and classical pointe, variations, and pas de deux create a framework for Educated Dancers, by broadening students' knowledge, artistry, and on-stage versatility. (Ballet 4, Ballet 5, Ballet 6, Ballet 7, Provo Civic Ballet Company)

Classical Ballet Academy's Contemporary Program curriculum offers a unified philosophy of guiding participants on a collaborative journey that values artistic risk-taking and independent thinking. Classes are offered in jazz, modern, improvisation, prop manipulation, fusion dance and contemporary choreography. Our aim is to supply a solid technical underpinning, bases in classical training, and to provide an environment for the unfolding of the students' own creative power. (Classes are offered for ages 7 and up and perform at the end of the season in the spring concert.)

Performance opportunity for Contemporary Program April 16th 7:30 and April 17th 2:00 and 7:30 (2010) at the Covey Center for the Performing Arts.
