Daddy Daughter Dance

The Daddy Daughter Dance is a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with your daughter. It will provide you with a small glimpse at the time and dedication in various lifts and turns. The time spent learning and practicing this dance will become a favorite memory of yours and your daughter.

When you sign up for the Daddy Daughter Dance you commit yourself to 8 rehearsals. Seven of these will take place for one hour on the following Saturdays: January 23^rd & 30^th, February 13^th & 27^th, March 6^th & 20^th, April 10^th. The last rehearsal will be dress rehearsal on April 17^th from 1-2 pm. Because we have such limited time, all rehearsals are mandatory and we ask that you review between rehearsal dates. The Daddy Daughter Dance will perform in the Matinee show only, April 17^th at 2:00 pm after intermission during Hansel and Gretel. We realize that a lot of dads travel, so please check your schedule before you commit.

The rehearsals will be split into three groups. These groups will be based on age and are tentatively 4-5 years old, 6-8 years old, and 9+. You may dance in more than one group.

The Daddy Daughter Dance is a lot of fun, but it does include lifting your daughter over your head, challenging choreography, and several hours of rehearsal. If you have back problems or other physical limitations please contact us before you register.

The attire for the performance for the dads is a dark suit, white shirt and a tie. The daughters will wear a white dress or white leotard and skirt. When selecting your dress please check that it is not too frilly or slick, as this will make some lifts more difficult.

We hope you will join us in our first Daddy Daughter Dance, and help make it a tradition at Classical Ballet Academy.
